1) What do you enjoy most about working at FoodStorm?

The most enjoyable aspect for me is being a part of a passionate and fun team. I have never worked in a team environment where there is such commitment and drive in all areas of the business. Our consistent communication and innovation is what enables us to bring our customers the most modern and progressive catering software. I always love to hear about how our customers are using FoodStorm and the benefits it has brought to their businesses.

2) Where do you see the catering industry and catering technology going in the future?

Catering businesses have had to rethink, restructure, and pivot the way they provide services to their customers during COVID. FoodStorm has given them the opportunity to offer an online ordering solution making the transition to delivery or take away a much easier one. We continue to release new features to the platform that help support our customers in getting the results they need through these difficult times.

As the world continues to move towards a new normal, I can see the catering industry going from strength to strength. It should and will be a time of celebration, and what better way to celebrate than with delicious food and great company! I also see catering businesses finding that these new ways of providing a service will become a long-term benefit.

3) Tell us about your background that led to you joining the FoodStorm team:

I started working for my family business, which involved maintaining large irrigation systems in rural Victoria, Australia. The modern software tools that we used eliminated our manual processes and sparked my interest in software and technology in different industries. I eventually made the move to Melbourne, working for a renewable energy and emergency lighting company for 4 years. This gave me a vast experience in customer service and other skills which is now something I bring to FoodStorm. I was so excited to be given the opportunity to be a part of a team that is helping so many businesses each and every day.

4) What are the values that drive you?

I always strive to get the best possible outcome for our customers, however, I also strive to get the best possible outcome for myself in my personal and professional goals.

5) How would you describe FoodStorm in one word?

Innovative

6) In another life I'm pretty sure I was...

A pilot. I have grown a love for aviation and have flown a few times from Moorabbin, Victoria, Australia airport in a Cessna 172, which were amazing experiences!

7) The best piece of advice I've been given was...

Treat others as you wish to be treated.

8) Cat-person or dog-person?

Dog person. I have a dog named Hiro who tends to enjoy dress up with my daughter.

Hiro the dog

9) If you were a superhero, what would your super power be?

Time travel would be an awesome super power for many reasons.

10) What’s your favorite way to spend time off?

I love spending time with my two kids. Although they are 2 and 3, and have lots of energy so quiet time is also always welcome afterwards! 😊
